Sugar Grove loves to fellowship!

Some regular activities that we look forward to:

Community Church Services - We look forward to "leaving the building" annually for a community church service.  In October 2009 we held a service in the Churubusco High School Auditorium.  Following the service we had a hog roast/potluck lunch and games for all ages.  Pie contest pictures and recipes are posted here.

Sweetheart Banquet - This is an evening for couples to come and fellowship together near Valentine's Day. The evening includes a catered meal and entertainment. Childcare is provided by our teens. The evening is hosted by Brotherhood (men's group).

Ice Cream Social - Sugar Grove's biggest event of the year! This is an evening for both church members and the community to enjoy hot sandwiches along with homemade ice cream and desserts. Dine indoors or outdoors (weather permitting). Entertainment is offered for both children and adults. This event is the second Saturday in July each year.

Fall Festival - Come dressed in your favorite costume and join us for singing around the campfire, hay rides, hog roasts, carnival games and prizes for the kids. It's always fun to see what Pastor Tim will come dressed as! This event is around the end of October each year.

Easter Kid's Day with our annual egg hunt of over 1500 eggs! A morning of crafts, singing, snacks and, of course, hunting for eggs. For children ages 2 through 5th grade as we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ.

Bowling & Roller Skating - Both of these are favorite events of our congregation at various times throughout the year.

Sisterhood Auction - The women's group holds an annual luncheon, followed by a bake sale and auction of handmade items, usually the first Sunday in December. The proceeds benefit families in need within the church and community during the Christmas season.

Pie Contest recipes can be found here.
